Instrument Set, Reconnaissance and Surveying (ENFIRE)

Develop for the Army and Marines, the ENFIRE application is deployed on a ruggedized laptop and allows combat engineers and surveyors to capture geospatial information through reconnaissance missions while in the field.

Written in C#/.NET, the ENFIRE software leverages a combination of proprietary and open-source software and APIs, including:

  • C#
  • Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF)
  • Esri Stack, including the latest ArcGIS Runtime (i.e., Maps SDK)

The ENFIRE software integrates with various devices to enhance and automate collection capability. By integrating such data, the software can help analyze bridges for structural properties and roads for feature detection and width/height metrics using:

  • Ouster LiDAR
  • Yost IMU
  • Various ranged Laser Range Finder (LRF) devices

To make ENFIRE data more exploitable, ENFIRE now interoperates with various endpoints to provide geospatial visibility to the field, including:

  • Android Tactical Assualt Kit (ATAK)
  • Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE)
  • REDi Web Portal
