(RGi®) CEO Stephen Gillotte presented RGi’s research into how geospatial is the shared language to communicate situational awareness leading to effective Command and Control (C2) and a common situational understanding of the multi-domain battlespace.

RGi supports Hurricane Maria relief efforts

The 2017 Hurricane Maria was the tenth most intense Atlantic hurricane on record, causing catastrophic damage and a major humanitarian crisis in both Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  Two months later, less than half of Puerto Rico has access to basic services such as electricity, many are still without potable water, and communications are limited with cellular service interrupted.

Reinventing Geospatial®, Inc. (RGi®) is committed to helping relief organizations in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin islands, and has made a corporate donation to the American Red Cross on behalf of our friends at the American Geographical Society (AGS). In addition, RGi supplied a new portable generator to a fellow GEOINT community member whose family remains without reliable access to electricity.

American Geographical Society spotlights RGi

The American Geographical Society (AGS) recently published an article featuring RGi and our CEO, Steve Gillotte. The article discusses how RGi works to “improve the mobility of data and information in austere environments by providing consistent and reliable access to geospatial data and information to disadvantaged users.” The article goes on to highlight RGi’s R&D investment in Predictive Activity Based Planning, and how the team is exploring how machine learning and natural language processing algorithms can analyze Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and strategic/tactical operational data in order to predict the likelihood that an event will take place.

According to AGS, “the world of geography is fortunate to have RGi pushing the boundaries of geospatial awareness, technology and knowledge.” To read the full article, please visit the AGS blog.
